Nice exhibition on the Danube and the Danube Valley. The water-powered elevator in particular is awesome! A short detour to Austria is also possible via the Jochenstein power plant.

Small but nice museum. Interesting for children and adults. The price / performance ratio is right, both in the museum and in the attached bistro.

Great location, can only be recommended. Small cafe with delicious food and drinks. Unfortunately, the exhibition area was closed due to the corona. The adjoining small ecological garden definitely deserves attention!

This building is impressive. For the children it is impressive how the heavy ships are "lifted". Nice hiking trail by the river on Austria side. The whole thing still fully on the border.

The exhibition is designed in an interesting way and especially recommended for children. You can not only look, but also try things out and solve puzzles yourself.

Unfortunately I was not in the house on the river, but I will definitely come back here again. I only crossed the Danube via the imposing power station.

Were there for the first time today! We really enjoyed the exhibition, it is very interesting, both for young and old! Lots of buttons, drawers and games. We had a great time here and will definitely come again! The only minus point: The toilets were all dirty - at the time when we arrived there were only 3 people in the house apart from us. Would be nice if every now and then it was checked that everything was right! We also found the water elevator in the anteroom exciting! In summer it will be even more fun because the outdoor area is usable ... Today it unfortunately poured like buckets! Our conclusion: The best "museum" we have been to (and we have been to some;))

Very interesting power plant, generating electricity with the water level difference of around 9m between upper and lower river level. ? Also an information center is close by, giving details about the region and animals around and in the river.

Great view of a lock. You can rarely get that close. The exhibition is also great because it's interactive. Thus also great for children

Relaxing while cruising

Nice museum with things for the kids. The schweitzerwurst salat was disappointing. But a nice activity for bad weather days.

Interesting for children and adults for what water can be used in the course of energy use. Interesting is the transition to Austria across the Danube, where you can observe the function of the boat lift.

A great museum about life in and on the Danube. Designed very child-friendly. Very friendly and nice staff. Also had the opportunity to stroke the Aesculapian snake. Really a great destination.

Smaller than we thought, informative but for English you need to rent the audioguide and pay extra. I think it was 2,4€ so nothing to worry about but still, the Germans don’t need to pay extra for the info. If you have German speaking kids: go there!

Nice and genuine exibit of many things in relation to Danube river (animals, floods, etc.)

Nice scenario on the beautiful Danube river.

We only passed by this on a river cruise.
